Re: Transformation of Coordinate Formats

High Bernd late but hopefully not to late: if you have a look to PTV-xAjax framework you'll find a bunch of methods doing conversions from and to various formats. But this will not help for applications outside the map. Due to this we have build our own class with various methods for generic purpose...

Re: New FeatureLayer available: PTV_TruckWaitingTimes

Dear Bernd sounds gorgeous! Just for my confirmation: 1. this FL works with xs1 and 2? 2. this FL is only available for EU? After looking to your screen shots from France I'm a little bit confused: what may be the benefit of this FL in comparison to TruckSpeedPatterns? My thinking till now was, that...

Re: Info about PTV World Map (AND)

Dear Bernd, thank you for your brief recap on this. I'd like to add that there are some blind spots. Major countries with more or less only some big cities and a few main roads are e.g. India, Korea and China. Perhaps there is the possibility to look behind the scenes to know why!? North Korea and C...

Re: Classification of geocode result

Dear Bernd, thanks for your reply. Your conclusion to take only the STATE from result as additional information into account fits to our solution in specific projects - even when customer didn't like this approach. I'm curious about new features by xLocate2 (as we are still at the very beginning wit...

Re: Classification of geocode result

Dear Joost, dear Bernd let's have a little discussion on some things from my practices: #1 STATE/DISTRICT: Often customers tell me that Customer-Master-Data aka CMD in respect to STATE/DISTRICT are 100% proper and reliable. By this they forced me to take STATE/DISTRICT into account to "minimize...

Speedprofiles US

As far as I know the max. allowed speeds in US (cars and trucks) vary: 1. from Europe (as they are of course as well slightly different from country to country) 2. from STATE to STATE (Alabama might has other limits as e.g. Washington) Assuming I have an xRoute installed (out of the box) the availab...

Re: New Certificates (467)

Cheers Frank

sounds like a good plan. This will help us!

How (and to whom) the announcement will be published? I personally prefer mail to dedicated receivers - like known technical contacts at customer site.

Is this feasible.

Re: Monitoring of Services (468)

Dear Bernd,

thank you for your quick reply - I appreciate that.

Your are right. It is one of the others. I didn't realize that there might be differences in monitoring, too.

Monitoring of Services (468)

Few days ago one of the servers did not responded to map requests. So we raised a ticket via HelpDesk. HelpDesk has reacted instantly (thanks) and told us, that they have had to restart. By this the issue was solved. According to HelpDesk there was no warning or error by monitoring-system, so there ...

New Certificates (467)

We are using SAP. In SAP-Systems the certificates are loaded and stored via Tx STRUST. This will be done by admin. SAP-Systems do not load certs automatically. But a SAP-System generates notices a few days in advance, before actual cert will be invalid. Yesterday PTV has published new cert - old cer...
