Re: Possible to reduce the minimimum length requirements for postcodes?
Hello Matthias, honestly spoken the promise of a "geocoder" is Give me meaningful address and I'll return proper coordinates you can use in your process for routing or optimization... So what you describe is a process that would enable a user to gather the raw data from our map database, w...

Re: Best practices implementing PTV. Map Control up to date?
Hello Tobias, well, though I am a huge fan of the xServer.net control I must admit that the demand for desktop applications decreases for the benefit of browser based approaches (including vector maps as an alternative to the good, old raster maps). The control is not a real product. We gave it away...

Re: German Exception Messages in XServer1
Nope - unfortunately you have to translate / transform the exception manually.
For some engine conditions you may find error codes as in this list
But even then you'd have to define some code-->message dictionary manually.

Re: Poznan is timeout city?
Here's some more feedback from Max: Using the option 'simplifiedRouteCalculation' will simply not use the speed information from PTV_TruckSpeedPatterns during route calculation, so the static speed of the map data will be used. The speed information from PTV_TruckSpeedPatterns will then be applied a...

Re: Poznan is timeout city?
Hello Dmitri, my colleague Max performed some analysis and here's what he identified as the cause: We can confirm the high runtime of the request in the direction from Hamburg to Poznan. The coordinate in Poznan is at a road with two closures: The first is a truck restriction for vehicles above 3.5 ...

How to apply a fill rule fro polygon areas?
Can you provide some sample code that shows how to apply this polygon area fill style for a PTV.XServer.Controls.Map.Layers.Shapes.MapPolygon?
I am aware of System.Windows.Media.FillRule but that is a property of some object I am not used to in the xServer scope.

Re: XmapMatch in xServer 2
Hello Mehdi, If xServer 2 includes XmapMatch, and whether we will be able to identify if a point is located on a highway rest area, gas station, or parking lot. Well, from a generic perspective the purpose of the map matcher is to reconstruct a route which can then be used for additional tasks withi...

Re: PTV Developer / viewing route on maps
Hi Mehdi,
I had to forward this to some DEV colleagues... sounds like you need some technical advice in how to enhance the POSTMAN as we see it in the reviews?
How about this article in the tutorials section?

Re: xServer 2.31 released
Hi Andrew, looks like you have been running into this topic which was dropped in the PTV xServer Admin forum (visible after login). The first time I heard of this issue was in fact when v2.31 was installed at several partner's environments. I like the idea of adding such important feedback to the IN...
