New Usecase: LoadingOptimization 2

Post by Bernd Welter »

Hi there,

within xServer extended features we proudly announce a new usecase:
LoadingOptimization (API doc: here)

For those who like videos - here are two small ones I created in beginning of 2018:
English and German.

A sample is available at https://xserver2-europe-eu-test.cloud.ptvgroup.com/dashboard!
The input describes the containers (BINs) incl. numbers, size and capacity and the content (ITEMs) with numbers, size and weight. <br />Furthermore the items can be tilted (or not) and carry other items (or not)
The input describes the containers (BINs) incl. numbers, size and capacity and the content (ITEMs) with numbers, size and weight.
Furthermore the items can be tilted (or not) and carry other items (or not)
The output contains the assignment of the ITEMs to the BINs.

Feel free to test the new function! Feedback is always welcome,

Best regards Bernd

Some few more lines about xLoad 2.x:
  • You can provide a set of container categories (aka BINs) with individual sizes and capacities (volume and weight)
  • Then you provide a set of parcel categories (aka ITEMs) with dimensions and weight but also additional attributes such as
    • tilting options
    • orientation options
    • max stacking weight
  • Then you specify for both object categories how many entities you'd like to optimize
  • xLoad then tells you which concrete items can be packed into which bin, at which position and with which orientation
Feedback is welcome,
Bernd
