xTour decision for depot of order

Post by Lauterfeld »

Hi there,

in xTour we can let xTour chose the 'best' depot of an order. If we have an order and 2 or more depots - what is the rule for xTour to chose the best depot? Is it the routing distance from depot to order? Or is it the driving duration? Or a combination of that?

Regards,
Volker.

Hello Volker,

Here's the response from Alex:
There is some kind of a default vehicle configured in the TourOpt.INI. This vehicle is applied for each depot with a linear combination based on driving time, travel time and distance. This is used for an initial assignment.
Within the MergeSavings algorithm the assignment may change.
Is this info sufficient?

Best regards Bernd

PS:
