Proper forum for all questions related to xServer INTERNET = the Azure based cloud solution. This forum deals with the architecture topics such as load balancing, available profiles and standard server settings.
Please be aware that questions about core functionality such as routing, mapping, geocoding in general should be placed in the xServers dedicated forum ;-)

Standard Search Graphs (XServer Internet 2)

Post by Bernd Welter »

As you know we offer a bunch of standard search graphs in xServer Internet 2.
You can list them via the com.ptvgroup.xserver.xdata.ListHighPerformanceRoutingNetworksRequest
available HPR on https://xserver2.cloud.ptvgroup.com on 03.04.2023
available HPR on https://xserver2.cloud.ptvgroup.com on 03.04.2023
There are two strategies to refer to one of the standard graphs:
  • Strategy #1: Refer to the graph by it's ID ;-)
  • Strategy #2: Refer to the graph by specifying a set of matching routing options. This could be tricky because you need to know what properties to set. Hopefully the following info helps. The list shows the attributes that are relevant to match a graph

I request to use the 2nd approach because you do not rely on a graphs "instable" ID:
Whenever we perform a map update the ID of a specific routing profile's graph may change!

Happened these days - customers were "surprised" and had to update their IDs manually.

To avoid such unnecessary surprises you should really go for "the routing options"...
