Re: xServer v1.x API documentation - error 403

Thanks Bernd.

Another Thing I noticed is that previously you could download the xServer 1 client for xLocate here:
https://www.ptvgroup.com/index.php?id=1296

However, now the link "Download xLocate client package" seems to be dead (404).

Kind regards

xServer v1.x API documentation - error 403

Hello Bernd, we've noticed that as of recently, the xServer v1.x API documentation is no longer accessible on your website. Previously I would navigate to this page: https://www.ptvgroup.com/en/solutions/products/ptv-xserver/developer-zone/geocoding-api/#c12317 From there, I would follow the link &q...

Re: Weird result when planning multi-day one-way with overni

Hi Bernd, thanks for the hint, that seems to fix the problem! We'll test if and how it also affects the results in other scenarios. costPerOvernightStay=0.0 is actually what we want, since the users can enable/disable overnight stay for every day in our UI. If they enable it, the hotel stay should a...

Weird result when planning multi-day one-way with overnight

Hi, we recently observed a strange behaviour of xTour Internet when doing tour optimization using "planOvernightTours", specifically multi-day one-way tours with overnight stays . We have a request where about 50 TransportOrders are to be planned, with an available time frame of 5 days. Th...

Re: Resolving UK addresses with full post code in xLocate In

Hi Bernd and Jochen, thanks for clearing this up. I think there's an easy workaround for us: If we find the EXTPOSTCODE level in the response from xLocate, we just don't copy the street, house number and city fields from the response, but instead copy them from the original input data. That way, we ...

Resolving UK addresses with full post code in xLocate Intern

Hi Bernd and PTV team, we're observing some weird behaviour of xLocate Internet when we try to geolocate addresses in the UK. As you know, we provide a tour planning service ("maiTour") as an add-on to SAP Sales Cloud, and have to geolocate addresses that come out of our customers' systems...

Using the xServer 2 Java client to access the TEST system

We're implementing an application using the Java client for xServer 2.x and wanted to access the test endpoints. In doing so we came across an important caveat: The WSDL returned by the TEST endpoint sets the service location to "localhost:50000". When you use the xServer 2.x Java client e...

Re: Relevance of transport depot sequence before optimizatio

Hello, thanks for your reply. I just would like to elaborate on the background of my question: When we submit a request, the depots are more or less in a random order. Now one of our customers has observed that sometimes the tour considered to be optimized would look rather weird to them; for exampl...

Relevance of transport depot sequence before optimization

Dear PTV team, we have a question regarding the XTour optimization API that we use in our product: Does the optimization re-arrange the order of transport depots in an overnight tour at will (only considering the most efficient tour), or does it somehow try to retain the sequence as long as it doesn...
