xServer 2.12: Release Webinar by Product Management

Post by Bernd Welter »

Hi there,

on June 3rd, 2019 (2pm) the PTV xServer product managers and product owners will give you an introduction into the major improvements of xServer 2.12. Feel free to register here.

Pilot Version of potential future presentation of xServer releases

We want to improve the collaboration between PTV and our partners.
Our product management provides information about the xServer 2.12 release.
Some selected partners get the opportunity to participate in the chat (not via audio discussion!)

Presenters: product managers
Chat moderation: technical consulting and product owners
Language: ENG

The highlights are:

FRAMEWORK
o Added support for external Java installations (64-bit Java 8 required. We recommend the use Amazon Corretto or Oracle Java). Please note that the Java Runtime Environment is no longer integrated in the PTV xServer and need to be installed separately. You find more information on the according Manual Page. Check the Blog Post for more information.
o Updated the stored profiles to DataCompatibilityVersion 2 as all current maps are also based on this version. Please ensure that your profiles and map data have the same version. Otherwise the PTV xServer won’t start

XROUTE
o Introduced a REST-API for xRoute (Note that the method is experimental)

XTOUR
o Added support to plan precombined trips by specifying the attribute 'groupId' for each order and the attribute 'orderGroupConsideration' in the planning options. (Note that this is experimental)
o Alternative depots are also supported for the methods 'changeTours' and 'findChangeToursProposals'. (Note that this is experimental)
o Added attribute 'legReports' to the element 'TourReport' to return information for each leg between two consecutive stops. (Note that this is experimental)

XLOAD
o Unloading sequence support (Note that this is experimental)
o Stackability restrictions by ItemTypes (Note that this is experimental)

Best regards,
Bernd Welter
