URGENT: Connection client to https-xServer in local network

Post by Bernd Welter »

Hello together,

today I installed several clients (Smartour 2.1.1) at a customers local network.

Within the structure of Smartour the clients require access to the central backend server (database and xServer 1.18 via https). I know that the following question isn't a pure xServer question but maybe somebody knows a solution anyway:

Though the clients are able to connect to the database server (Microsoft SQL Server) they can't connect to the backend xServer running on the same backend server. Seems that the PROXY server prevents to allow HTTPS communication.

Does anyone know how to resolve such an issue? Do we need to drill a hole into the firewall rules? Is there a standard protocol or feature within PROXY software we need to enable/disable?

Regards from Germany,

Bernd
