Deals with generic topics such as logging, framework and so on. If you are not sure where to place your topic just put it here.

Cheers,

every once in a while I get asked for the meaning of
Queue has reached maximum size.
in the context of xServer Internet. In most cases this response message occurs on TEST, e.g. https://xserver2-europe-eu-test.cloud.ptvgroup.com/

Please consider
  • the fact that our test cloud is not designed to handle dozends or hundreds of clients at the same time. The purpose of the test cloud is to demonstrate the features of our APIs, not it's performance.
  • On production (e.g. https://xserver2-europe-eu.cloud.ptvgroup.com/ the backend is served by a large number of instances which handle the incoming workload through a load balancer - here we can serve multiple clients at the same time
  • If you face this error message on repeatedly on production get in touch with us to get more details.
  • If this happens on premise we also recommend to get in touch with your technical counterpart so we can discuss potential solutions. Sometimes increasing the queuesize might help, but if you want to keep the response times low it might be time to add more computing power.
Best regards,
Bernd
