ManeuverEvent translation

Post by Bernd Welter »

A partner recently asked me whether he could gather the list of ManeuverEvent objects in american english because the terms we used for the EN based responses wouldn't match a US users vocabulary.

Here's some info about this:
  • First of all you can specify the output language of the ManeuverEvents with dedicated parameters:
    xRoute1 (RoutingParameter.ROUTE_LANGUAGE) and xRoute2 Language Codes (userLanguage).
We do not distinguish between EN-UK and EN-US. We simply provide "english".
  • For the supported languages you may want to add / update the vocabulary list via
    xRoute1/conf/RLTrans_ISO639-1.xml or xRoute2/conf/direction-descriptions.xml.
  • Such a manipulation of the texts is "at your own risk": languages may be based on semantics and syntax ;-)
Best regards,
Bernd
