Impact of simplifiedRouteCalculation (v2.20)

Cheers,

with v2.20 PTV has invented the simplifiedRouteCalculation in the context of ExactTimeConsiderationAtStart / ExactTimeConsiderationAtArrival:
Using this parameter will speed-up the calculation performance but it could lead to non-optimal routes.
I did some tests and the calculation time dropped by about 50%. Of course I am very interested in applying this feature but:
What kind of non-optimal routes could I get? Can I get some more info about this?
