Gurobi: user name mismatch

Post by Bernd Welter »

Hi,

today I installed a new GUROBI trial on my new laptop. I proceeded as recommended by GUROBI to install the license on my host. Then I started my xServer2 successful but when I tried to calculate a first optimization call I received the following error message:
Solver problem: User name mismatch (licensed to 'bwe', current user is 'system') - license file'C:\ptv-xserver\server\gurobi.lic'

Well: obviously the license creation process was executed in a command prompt scope within the user "bwe".
But my local xServer v2.25.3 is running as a background service in the uiser context "local system account".

As a temporary solution I decided to run my xServer from the command prompt:
solution: I started the server from the command prompt
solution: I started the server from the command prompt
I also found this posts in the Gurobi forum:
