New FeatureLayer available: PTV_TruckWaitingTimes

Postby Bernd Welter » Tue Feb 21, 2017 4:05 pm

Here we go: another interesting feature layer: PTV_TruckWaitingTimes shows the statistical waiting times for trucks at specific gates. The info is daytime dependent, therefore I generated two comparison maps.

TruckWaitingTimes-0000.PNG
comparison of truck waiting time. Twice the same area.
Left map: midnight = 00:00
Right map: noon = 12:00

Dear Bernd

sounds gorgeous!

Just for my confirmation:
1. this FL works with xs1 and 2?
2. this FL is only available for EU?

After looking to your screen shots from France I'm a little bit confused: what may be the benefit of this FL in comparison to TruckSpeedPatterns? My thinking till now was, that speed patterns are reflecting waiting times due to traffic jam etc.. Am I wrong?

Actually I can't anticipate if perhaps the combination of Waiting- and SpeedPatterns offers new possibilities.

Please be a little more specific! What about a vid in youtube?

Kind Regards
Mr. X

Gooood morning MisterX,

the screenshots have been made with xServer1 and one of my generic tools. So the new Feature Layer works with xServer1 and with xServer2.

About the content: as with most data the question about the coverage is a very important one (you know what I refer to  ).

For now I know that this layer is available for the two european maps 2017.1T and 2017.1H.

I'll redirect your question to the data experts when I'm in the office ;-)

C u,
Bernd
